Salem parlayed a decent outing from starter Pascoal Fradessa into a solid win over the Lynchburg Hillcats. The final score was 5-2. Fradessa got the win, improving to 7-2. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Picking up his 4th save was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Israel Ledezma.

The fans who came to support the Red Sox were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium.

"I managed to get ahead of guys and keep them at bay," said Fradessa.

The last-place Red Sox now sit at 17-32.
