Carolina pitcher Sean Foster did his part in helping his team defeat the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Josh Mullen snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-3 on the season. Franklin Viveros suffered the loss. The defeat makes Wilmington 23-26.

Carolina got a knockout punch from Cory Conley. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Wilmington manager Bobby Clontz. "We just didn't cash in."
