Myrtle Beach turned a good effort from starter Eric Lombardo into a win over the Frederick Keys at Harry Grove Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Steve Jackson finished to wrap up his 3rd save. The win hiked the Myrtle Beach record to 29-22.

Myrtle Beach used a clutch at-bat from John Myers to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Pelicans ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Lombardo. "Just do my job."
