Frederick pitcher Rafael de Jesus did his part in helping his team beat the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 8-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. de Jesus got the win, improving to 2-4. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. With the victory, the Keys record stands at 25-26.

The Keys got a big boost from third baseman Alex Diaz who had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the first inning off Pelicans hurler Matt Rice. It was his 22nd RBI of the season and put Frederick on top, 1-0.
