Banks Propels Myrtle Beach to 3-1 Win
|
Brandon Banks never let the Keys get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Pelicans to a win, 3-1. Ryan Ogle recorded the save for Myrtle Beach, his 2nd of the season. The Pelicans improve their record to 29-23 with the win over Frederick.
Frederick had little success against Banks and his fastball. Banks tossed 99 pitches over 6.2 innings for the Pelicans.
"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Mark Crompton.
