The Myrtle Beach Pelicans did just enough to secure a victory over the Winston-Salem Dash, 2-1, in 10 innings at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Clint Madore. The Pelicans have an impressive 35-18 record.

The Pelicans got a clutch hit from second baseman Seth Hood. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Pelicans.

"Was I getting worried?" said Pelicans manager David Larson. "Nope." Then he added, with a wink, "There was never a doubt in my mind."
