Red Sox Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Potomac Nationals got a superb performance from pitcher Brent Koehne. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Salem. The Red Sox won the game, 9-4. Koehne threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Jeff Daoust picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-2. Jose Aguilar was tagged with the loss. The Southern Division-leading Red Sox are 41-15.

Salem used the timely hitting of Chris Baker to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Red Sox on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Big win," said Baker.
