The Lynchburg Hillcats defeated the Winston-Salem Dash, 6-4, at BB&T Ballpark. Mike Laudon produced 3 singles and 1 double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 1. Adam Fruchtman snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Jorge Tafoya suffered the loss. Steve Meece wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save.

With Lynchburg leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Laudon batted against Winston-Salem pitcher Jorge Tafoya. Laudon hit a slider to right-center for a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season put the Hillcats on top, 2-0.

"No complaints from me," said Hillcats manager Ben Schorn. "I like what I saw out there."

With the victory, the Hillcats record stands at 26-30.
