Wilmington Blue Rocks starter Vasquo Torricho found his groove in his team's 8-4 win over the Carolina Mudcats. Picking up the save was Noah Jones, his 5th. With the win, Wilmington raised its record to 37-20.
Jesus Bucio, the Wilmington third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 5-4, Blue Rocks. For the game, Bucio went 1-3 with a walk. He scored 2 runs.
"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Wilmington manager Bobby Clontz.
