The Potomac Nationals converted a terrific effort from starter Alvaro Morales into a win over the Winston-Salem Dash at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium. The Nationals won the game by a final score of 4-1. Justin Carruth recorded the save for Potomac, his 3rd of the season. The third-place Nationals go to 30-30.

Potomac took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Alan Schroeder hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Nationals.

"Makes our job easier," said Schroeder, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
