Keys Keep Streak Alive With 3-1 Win
Frederick and Potomac played a hard-fought contest.

Frederick got a first-rate effort from pitcher Nick Keane, who frustrated Potomac hitters en route to a 3-1 Keys triumph at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium. The winner was Keane. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Victor Carrion. Victor Ordonez earned his 9th save, after closing out the game.

The Keys had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 3-1, Frederick, with no one out. Potomac, with the bases empty, was mounting a threat. John Calvin dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 fastball, he struck out.

Frederick, having won 10 in a row, is now 41-20.
