In a seemingly effortless performance, Justin Ramsey of the Frederick Keys shot down the Salem Red Sox, 1-0, on 2 hits.

"Justin was just locating so well and using his pitches," Frederick manager Jeremy Smejkal said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."

Ramsey recorded 10 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing.

"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Salem manager Arturo Cobian said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."

To date this season, Ramsey has registered 7 starts, 2-3 won-lost mark, 2.89 ERA, 43.2 IP, 51 strikeouts and 18 walks. Opposing teams have hit .220 against him.
