Pelicans Pick Up 2-0 Win Over Wilmington
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans tallied a win at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium, throttling the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 2-0. Starting pitcher Matt Rice was a big reason for his team's success. Ryan LaBrasca notched his 7th save of the season. The Pelicans win now puts them at 30-31.

It could have been a different outcome for Myrtle Beach, had it not been for Jason Rider, the 23-year old second baseman . Rider contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put Myrtle Beach up, 1-0.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Rider.
