A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and Winston-Salem Dash.

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans rode a solid performance from 21-year-old starting pitcher Ben Dolan to a win, beating the Winston-Salem Dash, 4-0, at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. The Pelicans now own a record of 23-39.

Myrtle Beach right fielder Zach Lyons contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a cutter to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 14th hit of the season and put the Pelicans ahead, 2-0.

"That was a really good outing by Ben," said Myrtle Beach manager David Larson.
