The Winston-Salem Dash picked up a win at Harry Grove Stadium, taking down the Frederick Keys, 7-3. Starting pitcher Edwin Rivas was a big reason why. Getting the save was Derek Upchurch, his 7th. At 36-26, Winston-Salem is in third place in the Southern Division.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Dash found themselves in a jam. Frederick had the bases loaded with two out. The score was 7-3, Winston-Salem. Bob Young was at the plate, hoping to deal the Dash a serious blow. Instead, he struck out to end the threat.
