Potomac overcame a superior effort from Billy Kelly to beat Lynchburg, 5-3. The Lynchburg pitcher threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Chris Corbett, 3-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. The win elevated the Nationals to 37-26.

Potomac used a timely hit from Reid Barrett to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Nationals ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Barrett.
