Lynchburg beat Potomac on the strength of starter Juan Benitez's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Lynchburg has a 4-game win streak, while Potomac has lost 12 in a row.

Nolan George dealt the Nationals a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Lynchburg leading 3-2, George hit a 1-2 changeup for a run-scoring single.
