Myrtle Beach Pelicans starter Sam Delcour hurled his team past the Lynchburg Hillcats, 5-2. The Pelicans improved to 35-29.

John Myers had a big bases-clearing double for the Pelicans in the bottom of the first inning. With Myrtle Beach leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Carlos Velazco, who is tied for 4th in the CAR in quality starts with 8, and swatted a double to right. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pelicans ahead, 4-0.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Myers told the Myrtle Beach Gazette.
