The Frederick Keys used a great performance from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Adam Pollard to beat the Winston-Salem Dash, 1-0, at BB&T Ballpark. David Fewell earned save number 4 this season. With the win, Frederick upped its record to 33-31.
Pollard scattered 2 hits over 8 innings for the Keys. Now 3-2, Pollard has struck out 33 this season.
"There is no easy way to lose when you're doing everything you can to win games," said Winston-Salem manager Sam Simmons.
