Nationals Drop Dash, 4-2
|
The Winston-Salem Dash got a superb performance from pitcher Mike Torres. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Potomac. The Nationals won the game, 4-2. Torres threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The third-place Nationals are now 30-35, the Dash 36-29.
Potomac used a clutch hit from Mark Dittman to get the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Nationals ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Dittman.
