Keys Handle Myrtle Beach, Snag 3-1 Win
|
Travis Netsch pitched well, but his team, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the Frederick Keys at Harry Grove Stadium. Jose Romo collected save number 3. The Keys now own a record of 27-38.
Freddie Brophy helped out the Frederick cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Frederick manager Jeremy Smejkal said.
