Keys Rally to Beat Blue Rocks, 3-2

Frederick pitcher Moises Flores did his part in helping his team defeat the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Denny McMurtry earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-2. Eric Thomas locked down his 1st save.
Frederick took a 3-2 lead on Manny Bermudez's 18th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Bermudez hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Wilmington pitcher Francisco Checa visibly frustrated.
"Sometimes a win comes easy," Bermudez told the Frederick Bulletin. "And sometimes you have to scratch and claw."
Frederick is sailing along at 46-21.
