Arturo Ramirez did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Potomac Nationals an extra-inning, 8-6 loss to the Lynchburg Hillcats at Ed Smith Stadium. Ramirez was 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Lynchburg is now 42-25.

Lynchburg got a clutch hit from Jose Mora. The center fielder socked a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was game-ender.

Mora said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
