Lynchburg starter Pedro Ramos kept the Winston-Salem offense in check, while his team cruised to a win, 12-1. With the victory, the Hillcats upped their record to 51-17.

Lynchburg took the lead, 6-1, on Rory Palmer's 1st triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which Palmer hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Winston-Salem pitcher Juan Segura crestfallen.

"When I throw strikes I'm good, if I don't I'm not very good," said Ramos. "So I just have to throw strikes."
