Hillcats Rally to Eke Out Win
The Lynchburg Hillcats faced a tough opponent in Winston-Salem pitcher Miguel Escobedo, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ed Smith Stadium by a final score of 3-2 in 10 innings. Escobedo went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Reliever Andre Georges picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Angelo Flores took the loss. At 33-35, the Hillcats claim third place in the Northern Division.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Lynchburg. That's when Agustin de la Cruz, who is tied for 5th in the CAR in doubles with 15, hit a run-scoring double off Angelo Flores to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

In postgame remarks, de la Cruz simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
