The Myrtle Beach Pelicans beat the Salem Red Sox, 4-1. Myrtle Beach pitcher and Valle de la Pascua, Venezuela, native Ricky Salazar led the way. Myrtle Beach bumps their record to 48-22 with the win.

Myrtle Beach took a 3-1 lead on Justin Christensen's 5th triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Christensen hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Salem pitcher Pedro Jimenez visibly frustrated.

"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Salazar.
