Wilmington picked up a win at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, bumping off the Potomac Nationals, 8-4. Pitcher Julio Carrillo was a major reason the Blue Rocks emerged victorious. Carrillo, the winner, moves to 6-6. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. Aaron Oien earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game.

Jorge Gomez aided the Wilmington cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4 with a walk.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Gomez told the Wilmington Chronicle. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."

The Blue Rocks improved their record to 25-46 with the win over Potomac.
