The Winston-Salem Dash claimed a close win over the Wilmington Blue Rocks, due in large part to Isaiah Joyner. The Winston-Salem right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 1-0 win. At 36-36, the Dash claim third place in the Southern Division.

Joyner made it look effortless. He scattered 1 hit over 6.2 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The Winston-Salem right-hander encountered little resistance from the Wilmington hitters. His season record is now 6-2.

"Really, really impressed with the way Isaiah competed and executed pitches," said Winston-Salem manager Sam Simmons.
