The Frederick Keys picked up a win at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium, downing the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 8-4. On the mound for Frederick was left-hander Bubba Bowers, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 6.1 innings, Bowers surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 5. He allowed 4 runs. The first-place Keys bumped their record to 44-31.

Frederick used a clutch at-bat from Omar Rangel to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Keys ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
