Escobedo Now 2-2 After Subduing Hillcats
In a tension-filled contest between the Winston-Salem Dash and the Lynchburg Hillcats, pitcher Miguel Escobedo was superb. The Winston-Salem right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the CAR with a 2.89 ERA, spearheaded his team's 2-0 win. Winston-Salem is now 41-37, while Lynchburg is 37-41.

Escobedo lasted 6.1 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits. The Winston-Salem right-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the CAR with a 9.8 K/9 rate, is now 2-2.

"We were trying to do a difficult thing -- winning a game without scoring," said Lynchburg manager Diego Perez. "That's not going to work out."
