Potomac Beats Myrtle Beach, 6-3

The Potomac Nationals defeated the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 6-3, in Carolina League action at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium. Potomac pitcher Chris Morse had a standout performance. Morse, now 4-3, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. The 'W' lifts Potomac's record to 35-45.
The Nationals got a big at-bat from shortstop Kurt LaBove. For the game, LaBove was 1-5 with a triple. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave Potomac a 1-0 lead.
Morse said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
