Castillo Hits 2 Roundtrippers, Nationals Win, 7-3
|
Miguel Castillo was instrumental in his team's 7-3 triumph over the Winston-Salem Dash. The right fielder slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Potomac Nationals. The winning pitcher was Miguel Rivera. His record now stands at 4-4. The left-hander went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits for the Nationals. Potomac has a record of 39-41, placing them third in the Northern Division.
Castillo had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Antonio Cruz, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Nationals a 7-3 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Castillo.
