The Wilmington Blue Rocks took it on the chin, losing, 10-2, to the Winston-Salem Dash. Alfredo Silva, who is tied for 7th in the CAR in strikeouts with 114, pitched a strong game for Winston-Salem. The Dash now have a record of 52-44 with the win over Wilmington.

Winston-Salem shortstop Enrique Diaz contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 51st hit of the season and put the Dash ahead, 3-0.

"I'll be honest," said Silva. "I didn't have much left in the tank."
