Red Sox Earn Late 4-3 Win
|
The Salem Red Sox beat the Frederick Keys in 10 innings at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. The final score was 4-3, in favor of Salem. Jose Roman led the way, going 3-for-5 for the home team. Salem reliever Carlos Galdamez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Justin Daniels absorbed the loss. The last-place Keys now sit at 41-40.
In the bottom of the tenth, Tony Lopez had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring sacrifice fly to left-center off Frederick pitcher Justin Daniels.
"Obviously, we're happy we came out on the winning side, but what a great game to watch, just as a fan of baseball," said Red Sox manager Tommy Gallant.
