The Potomac Nationals defeated the Frederick Keys, 5-3, in Carolina League action at Harry Grove Stadium. Potomac pitcher Luis Munoz had a standout performance. In 7.2 innings, Munoz surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. Alex Arriaga recorded the save, his 3rd.

Potomac won the game in part because of Zach Byrne. The third baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Nationals ahead, 2-1. For the game, Byrne had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
