Carlos Neri was locked in. The left-hander led the Winston-Salem Dash to a 3-2 win against the Wilmington Blue Rocks at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. In 6 innings, Neri surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Jose Acevedo recorded his 1st save for Winston-Salem.
Winston-Salem used the hitting of Rich Sulla to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dash on top, 3-2. For the game, Sulla had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
