Fisher Cats Outdo Flying Squirrels in Extra Innings
|
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats snuck past the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 3-2, in 12 innings. New Hampshire pitcher Glen Trecker, in particular, had a standout performance. The Fisher Cats, now 10-4, have been on fire in the early going.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when New Hampshire catcher Chris Howard, facing Aubrey DeLuca, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Fisher Cats the 3-2 win.
"It was terrific getting this win," Howard said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
