The Frederick Keys defeated the Potomac Nationals, 9-4. Doing his part was right fielder Phil Polzin, who was 3 for 5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Frederick now sports a record of 43-50.

The Nationals had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Keys going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old second baseman Harry Valdivia came to the plate. Valdivia hit a 2-run double on a first pitch changeup from Potomac hurler Danny Casas. It was Valdivia's 4th double of the year.

"We came out aggressive," said Keys manager Jeremy Smejkal. "We came out swinging the bats."
