Skidding Mudcats Lose 7th Straight
The Potomac Nationals beat the Carolina Mudcats, 4-3, in part because of third baseman Willie Bernal. He went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Eddie Keller, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Xavier Crawford earned the save for Potomac, his 3rd of the year.

Potomac needed the clutch hitting of Ryan Dorsey to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Nationals on top, 4-3. For the game, Dorsey had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
