The Lynchburg Hillcats saddled the Wilmington Blue Rocks with a loss at Ed Smith Stadium. The final score was 7-5. Jeremiah Hamiel was 2 for 4, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Lynchburg third baseman scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Lynchburg reliever Jerry Parker picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Mike Sanchez was saddled with the loss. Hamiel had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-0 fastball from Mike Sanchez, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Hillcats a 7-5 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Hamiel.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Hamiel said.
