Red Sox Drop Close One Late
The Winston-Salem Dash found a way to sneak past the Salem Red Sox, 6-5, in 12 innings. Winston-Salem center fielder Ernesto Morin, for one, had a standout performance. The winner was Winston-Salem reliever Alfredo Arredondo, now 6-5. The loser was Dillon Sheerer. The victory gives the Dash a record of 59-36.

The Dash got a clutch hit from designated hitter Guillermo Antelo. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Dash.

"This game tested our mettle," said Morin.
