The Frederick Keys banked on Miguel Gonzalez and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Carolina hitters in check. The final score was 2-0, Keys. Frederick currently is in first place in the Northern Division at 64-35.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Keys had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when shortstop Fernando Martinez hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Greg Rowley and made the score 2-0, Keys. Martinez went 1 for 3.

"We've got a great group of guys," Martinez said, "and we're having fun right now."
