Myrtle Beach starter Dave Rogers put the Wilmington offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his curveball in leading the Pelicans to a 3-0 win. Myrtle Beach has now won 5 straight, while the Blue Rocks have lost 4 in a row.

Justin Christensen, who leads the CAR in runs scored with 63, had a direct impact on the outcome. Christensen contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put Myrtle Beach up, 1-0.
