Frederick Keys starter Steve McAloon turned in a sparkling performance against the Salem Red Sox, leading his team to a 1-0 win. David Fewell collected his 7th save.

Alex Melendez drove in one run for Frederick. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Clay Boudreau. It was his 14th RBI of the season.

"Time to decompress after a tough win," said McAloon.

The Keys win now puts them at 54-46.
