5-4 Win for Potomac in Extras
The Potomac Nationals picked up a win at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, downing the Winston-Salem Dash, 5-4, in 11 innings. On the mound for Potomac was right-hander Casey Manning, who played a pivotal role in the win. Potomac reliever Carlos Rivera picked up the win to move to 2-1. Omar Acosta suffered the loss. The first-place Dash have dropped 4 straight games.

The Nationals got a clutch hit from center fielder Andy Shanley. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Nationals.

"Casey kept his poise and got the job done," said Potomac manager Cruz Mares. "He was outstanding."
