Wet weather did not postpone the Winston-Salem-Frederick ballgame.

The Winston-Salem Dash wanted a good start from Reynaldo Briones -- and he delivered one. The result was a 4-2 Winston-Salem win over the Frederick Keys at BB&T Ballpark. Juan Nadal got credit for the win, improving to 3-7. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings.

Kurt Beilin was 1 for 3 with a walk for Winston-Salem. With no one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Beilin had a clutch at-bat. Facing Frederick hurler Adam Pollard, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Dash a 3-2 lead.

Afterward, Dash manager Sam Simmons said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."

The Dash sit in second place in the Southern Division with a record of 54-47.
