Rice Top-Notch as Hillcats Stop Blue Rocks, 10-1
The Lynchburg Hillcats defeated the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 10-1, in Carolina League action at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Lynchburg pitcher Kevin Rice had a standout performance. The second-place Hillcats now sit at 57-45.

The famously hardworking Rice handled the Blue Rocks all day, notching 8 strikeouts in 9 innings while allowing 7 hits. Rice, who leads the CAR in complete games with 5, goes to 6-2 on the year with 64 strikeouts.

"The Hillcats definitely had our number," said Wilmington manager Bobby Clontz.
