The Carolina Mudcats picked up a win at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, topping the Potomac Nationals, 3-0. On the mound for Carolina was right-hander Rafael de Jesus. He played a principal role in the triumph. The Mudcats now have a mark of 48-55.

de Jesus's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 8 strikeouts in 7.1 innings while allowing 4 hits. de Jesus goes to 2-1 on the year with 27 strikeouts.
