Carolina Mudcats starter Chris Platt pitched a strong game against the Winston-Salem Dash at Grainger Stadium, leading the Mudcats to victory, 3-2. The winner was Luis Rodriguez in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Chris Dollar took the loss. The win puts Carolina at 35-68.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Carolina. That's when Oscarli Javier King hit a solo home run off 25-year old left-handed pitcher Chris Dollar to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Really, really impressed with the way Chris competed and executed pitches," said Carolina manager Jon Saenz.
