Nationals Improve to 53-51 with 4-1 Win
|
Starting pitcher Andres Tomassini did his part in helping the Potomac Nationals thwart the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Tomassini, now 4-1. He tossed 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 7. Bryan Trevino collected save number 5.
Jeff Pellerin hit a 2-run triple off Katsumi Nagamine in the top of the fourth, which put the Nationals in front, 2-1. In addition to the triple, Pellerin had 2 singles and 1 walk, while going 3 for 3.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Pellerin said after the game.
Potomac now sports a record of 53-51.
