The Winston-Salem Dash stopped the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 11-6, at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. The Dash got a big game from Edwin Acosta, who was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Luis Navarro was the winner. He's now 4-5. The loser was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Lorenzo Llamas. The last-place Dash bumped their record to 38-66.

Winston-Salem used a clutch at-bat from Pantalião Trovisca to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dash ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Acosta told the Winston-Salem News.
