The Myrtle Beach Pelicans outlasted the Winston-Salem Dash in an extra-inning thriller.

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans faced a tough opponent in Winston-Salem pitcher Alejandro Arreguin, but did just enough to pull out the victory at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark by a final score of 5-4. Arreguin went 5 innings and allowed 3 runs. Jonathan Guzzetta earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 4.2 innings. His record is now 2-2.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Myrtle Beach first baseman Jim Unknown, facing Raul Camacho, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Pelicans the 5-4 win.
