Winston-Salem Earns 4-3 Win
|
The Winston-Salem Dash faced a tough opponent in Wilmington pitcher Sieb Bakker, but did just enough to pull out the victory at BB&T Ballpark by a final score of 4-3 in 10 innings. Bakker went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Alfredo Arredondo was the winner in relief. His record is now 7-5. The losing pitcher was Leonel Solis. The Dash lead the Southern Division by 14 games.
The Dash got a clutch hit from third baseman Rich Sulla. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Dash.
"This game tested our mettle," said Sulla.
