Behind a solid performance from third baseman Frank Chacon, the Wilmington Blue Rocks defeated the Winston-Salem Dash, 7-6. Chacon went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Blue Rocks. The win makes Wilmington 54-53.

Wilmington used a well-timed hit by Alex Saud to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Blue Rocks ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Saud.
