Blue Rocks Pick Up 3-2 Win Over Winston-Salem
Wilmington Blue Rocks starter Arturo Valverde turned in a sterling performance against the Winston-Salem Dash, leading his team to a slim, 3-2 win. The Blue Rocks improved their record to 54-53 with the win over Winston-Salem.

Wilmington used the timely hitting of Perry O'Brien to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blue Rocks on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame remarks, O'Brien applauded his team's "business-like approach."
