In a splendid 5-0 shutout performance, Butch Torres of the Frederick Keys subdued the Lynchburg Hillcats on a 3-hitter.

"He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes, so I kept sending him out there," Frederick manager Jeremy Smejkal said in postgame comments.

Torres registered 13 strikeouts and 1 walk.
