Potomac Slaps 1-0 Loss on Winston-Salem
|
Potomac turned a good effort from starter Juan Jaimes into a win over the Winston-Salem Dash at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium. The final score was 1-0. The winner was Jaimes. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Luis Navarro. Picking up his 6th save was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Bryan Trevino.
Potomac third baseman Andres Rangel helped the Nationals go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Rangel hit a run-scoring single off Winston-Salem pitcher Luis Navarro.
"Juan did a good job of managing their lineup," said Potomac manager Cruz Mares.
The Nationals improved their record to 55-54 with the win over Winston-Salem.
