Hillcats Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
|
Lynchburg pitcher Josh Callahan had a large part in his team subduing the Frederick Keys, 1-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Bruce Schultz collected his 3rd save. Lynchburg is now 33-76, Frederick 52-58.
The biggest at-bat came in the top of the ninth. The score was 1-0, Hillcats. With a runner on 1st and two down, Bruce Schultz retired Stéphane Nicolas with a 2-2 fastball. Nicolas, who leads the CAR in bases on balls with 64, flied out.
